The Bedford Legion Poppy Campaign Chair, Comrade Rob Pitcher presents Cobequid Health Centre Foundation's Executive Director, Stacey Chapman with a cheque for $5,350.00. The money will be used to purchase a "Quad table" which is used to strengthen the muscles of the lower extremities and can be used to regain functions for a wide variety of patients. It will be particularly beneficial during pre-op total knee replacement rehabilitation. This item will be used at Cobequid in their Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy Department. — The Bedford Legion Poppy Campaign Chair, Comrade Rob Pitcher presents Cobequid Health Centre Foundation’s Executive Director, Stacey Chapman with a cheque for $5,350.00. The Bedford Legion Poppy Fund presented Jeannine Theriault from the Bedford/Sackville Meals-on-Wheels with a cheque for $2000.00. Meals on Wheels has been delivering fresh, nutritious meals for over half a century. Dedicated volunteers put food on the tables of those in the Bedford/Sackville area who are unable to prepare a meal for themselves. They deliver fresh chilled meals and warm hearts while providing peace of mind for their clients (several of which are veterans) and their families.

The Bedford Legion Poppy Campaign has donated $1,920.00 to Phil Reddy; the coordinator of Heroes Haven of Hope Halifax, a support group for those suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Branch 95 is so proud that we are able to assist this fantastic cause.

The Bedford Legion Branch 95 donated $2,500 to Heroes Mending on the Fly. Remembrance

The Legion exists so that Canada never forgets. The Legion understands the importance of honouring past sacrifices and acknowledging the courage of those who served and still serve today. Through Remembrance Day ceremonies, the Poppy campaign, commemorative activities, youth education programs and more, the Legion helps Canadians to honour and remember.
